Auschwitz: Airmail cover from USA, 10+20c Planes tied EAST GREENWICH on 3 MAR 1940, sent to Protectorat B+M. Addressed to known Hugo Sonnenschein (German-writing poet and anarchist. He was arrested in 1940 and deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1943. He survived there and in 1945 was sentenced by a Czech court to 20 years in prison for alleged collaboration with the Gestapo.
