Elster is docked (perhaps in Abbazia, as the seller is located there) and 15 of her crewmembers (no officer, though) have gathered in the quarter deck to celebrate and have their photograph taken. The photograph is undated, but considering the dimensions given (length – 135 ft., beam – 14 ft.), and the general shape of the vessel, the torpedo boat can only be S.M.Tb. Adler or, possibly, her sister S.M.Tb. Falke.

Pre-WW1: Small (109 x 66 mm) sepia photograph. A very young sailor spent a few crowns in having his photograph taken at the studio of Cesare Gallinaro in Pola. Since the name of the ship readable on his cap-band is S.M.Tb. Triton, it is safe to assume the photograph was taken before 1913. On November 19, 1913 renamed to S.M.Tb 64F.
