Holocaust: Bychawa Ghetto (Generalgouvernement): Reply half of PS card 3c McKinley (USA) posted at BYCHAWA on 20.6.1941, transit Warschau 27.6, sent to USA, long text in German. The Jewish ghetto was established in December 1940 as a gathering place for local and displaced Jews. In 1942, approximately 2,600 people lived there. In the summer of 1942, the ghetto was liquidated and the inhabitants were deported to the Sobibór extermination camp and the Bełżyce ghetto.
